Sensex trades subdued
The 30-share index is trading flat in the current session. Select stocks from auto, cement and telecom managed to trade in positive while IT and pharma lost ground.
The BSE Sensex is currently ruling at 13,855.69, up 10.71 points. (12.52 p.m).Out of the total 2,506 stocks traded so far, 1,488 advanced, 961 declined while 57 remained unchanged.
Leaders on the index include ACC, which advanced 4.21% to touch Rs 1,179.90, Tata Motors, which buoyed up 3.94% to Rs 876.15 and Reliance Energy, which gained 3.09% to Rs 556.95. L&T, NTPC and Maruti too featured on the gainers` list.
Losers on the BSE Sensex were Satyam, that declined 2.61% to Rs 454.65, Wipro, that dipped 2.06% to Rs 588.50 and HDFC Bank, that slid 1.57% to Rs 1103. Hero Honda, HDFC and Cipla are the other losers.
