HCL Tech Q2 net up 14.4% at Rs 2.86 bn

HCL Technologies has announced its second quarter results. The company reported net profit of Rs 286 crore (Rs 2.86 billion) in the second quarter versus Rs 250.2 crore (Rs 2.50 billion) in the previous quarter, increased by 14.4%

Its revenues was up 6.2% Rs 1465 crore (Rs 14.65 billion) from Rs 1379 crore (Rs 13.79 billion) QoQ.The new business contributed 12% to revenues. The other income stood at USD 3 million.HCL Tech's forex gain registered at USD 7.8 million.The software revenue was up 9.2% at USD 242.7 million and BPO revenue up 9.4% at USD 42 million QoQ.

The company's infrastructure services revenue increased by 16% at USD 46.4 million QoQ. It added 1,865 employees in the last quarter and BPO adds 7 new clients.
