Stocks across the board participate
The market held firm in early-afternoon trade due to buoyancy across the board. Small-cap and mid-cap shares apart from blue-chips were riding firm.
At 12:23 IST the Sensex was up 96 points, at 13,527. It had dipped to 13,434.58 and reached a high of 13,546.78.The market-breadth was strong. Against 1,730 shares rising on BSE, 560 declined. As many as 76 shares were unchanged. Gainers outpaced losers by a ratio of 3:1.The BSE clocked a turnover of Rs 1,921 crore.
The market-sentiment was bright following a strong debut of Internet firm Info Edge (India).
